DIVINE APPOINTMENTS
DIVINE CONNECTIONS

Proverbs 16:9: A man's heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps. It is clear that God has Divine Appointments and Connections to bring about His plans and purpose in our lives. Let's look at a few and see how the Lord worked in the midst of His people and how He wants to use us to fulfill divine appointments for others.
1 Samuel 9:15-17: Now the Lord had told Samuel in his ear the day before Saul came, saying, "Tomorrow about this time I will send you a man from the land of Benjamin, and you shall anoint him commander over My people Israel, that he may save My people from the hand of the Philistines; for I have looked upon My people because their cry has come to Me." And when Samuel saw Saul, the Lord said to him, "There he is, the man of whom I spoke to you. This one shall reign over My people."
Samuel was the divine connection and divine appointment for Saul. In regard to Saul, it was divine circumstances at work. Saul was in the right place at the right time. Actually Saul was looking for his lost, rebellious donkey that had run off. Little did he know that God was working in the donkey to fulfill the will of God in his life.
In 1 Samuel 16, we see Samuel's appointment with David. Out of all the sons of Jesse, it was going to be a divine appointment for David. In Matthew, we see Mary's appointment with the angel of the Lord who announced her purpose to bring forth a son named Jesus, the Savior of the world.
Next we see Peter's appointment with the rooster after he denied Christ. Then we Jesus and the disciples' appointment with the storm in the boat. Their under- standing was opened and they recognized Jesus as the Son of God. We also see the woman at the well and her divine appointment with Jesus.
Acts 9 tells us of Saul's divine appointment with God on the road to Damascus which produced Paul the Apostle who carried the gospel throughout the region. Acts 16:9: A vision appeared to Paul in the night. A man of Macedonia stood and pleaded with him, saying, "Come over to Macedonia and help us." Paul became the divine appointment for the people of Macedonia. God would move among the Gentiles in such a way that would totally transform the move of God at that time. There are many other Divine Appointments and Connections in the Word of God.
1 Corinthians 2:9-10: As it is written: "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him." But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. It is the Lord who is revealing His heart to us, not only for us but for others.
Hebrews 11:6: But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. The Word of God in you will provide a stage and launching pad for your divine appointment with destiny, which will bring divine connections.
God's grace and favor are at work making connections for you on God's behalf. The favor of God can take you where you could never take yourself, and you are becoming a divine appointment for others resulting in divine connections.
The Lord used Pastor Phil 26 years ago in India to prophesy over Jose Anathanam. This was a divine connection and appointment which would assist in the great move of God throughout India, particularly among Catholic believers. Also years ago, when he prayed over Dr. Kurian, that was a divine appointment to assist in all we see happening today with the Covenant People and thousands of leaders in India. Coming to Lynchburg and establishing Bread of Life Ministries/Church was a divine appointment, and God has given us many divine connections throughout the world, including, Brazil, Ukraine, Paris, Portugal, Dubai, and China.
What about you? Did you know that YOU are a divine connection and divine appointment for others? There are those defining moments in our lives when God connects us with someone—our husband or wife, our friends, leaders, co-workers, etc. These are times when we can clearly see His kingdom come forth and His will being done in our lives.
2 Corinthians 5:20: We are Christ's ambassadors, and God is using us to speak to you. We urge you, as though Christ Himself were here pleading with you, "Be reconciled to God."
2 Peter 1:1-4: Simon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who have obtained like precious faith with us by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ: Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue (the life flow of God), by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
The divine POWER of God and the divine NATURE of God gives way to divine APPOINTMENTS of God. Ephesians 3:20-21: Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end.
GOD SEES YOU BEING AND DOING MORE
THAN WHAT YOU COULD EVER THINK!
