Rev.
Beverly Bowman
Associate Minister/Evangelist
Rev. Beverly Bowman was born in
Altoona, Pennsylvania. She was reborn of the
Spirit October 25, 1979 through the Silver Spring Christian and
Missionary Alliance Church in Maryland. After receiving the
Baptism of the Holy Spirit she found herself empowered to be a witness
for the Lord, started winning souls, and began teaching Evangelism in
1981. Rev. Bowman attended Word of Life Bible School in New York
then graduated Liberty University in 1989 in Lynchburg, Virginia with a
BS in Psychology/Counseling and an AA in Bible. After receiving
the call to be in ministry, the Lord led her to Bread of
Life Church under Bishop Phillip Wiley where she was ordained June 3,
2001 and serves as an Associate Minister. Besides teaching
Evangelism for 22 years, the Lord opened the door and led Rev. Bowman
into an Inner Healing ministry "to set the captives
free." She has traveled on mission trips to Barbados and
recently to Ukraine where hundreds were saved, many received the Baptism
of the Holy Spirit and were delivered from oppression and evil
spirits. 1 Peter 3:15 has been Rev. Bowman's life verse to
"sanctify Christ in my heart and be ready with an answer to give a
reason for the hope that is in me." Rev. Bowman's calling is,
'MINISTERING THE BREAD OF LIFE , TO POUR IN THE OIL AND WINE THROUGH:
THE WORD OF GOD, SONG, AND PERSONAL TESTIMONY'. This was confirmed
in Luke 4:18-19,
"The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me,
because He has anointed Me to preach the 'GOOD NEWS' to the poor; He has
sent Me to announce release to the captives and recovery of sight to the
blind, to send forth as delivered those who are oppressed, to proclaim
the accepted and acceptable year of the Lord."
And Isaiah 61:3,
"To comfort those who mourn in Zion,
to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment
of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of
righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified."
